Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-08

These terms govern your use of this NextSSH installation. “Operator” means the person or organisation that runs it; “you” means the person using it.

1. The service

NextSSH is a web-based workspace for connecting to servers you are authorised to access over SSH, and for transferring files, exploring databases and publishing tunnels through those connections.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the service. New accounts may require the Operator’s approval. Keep your password confidential: your saved credentials are protected by a key derived from it, and the Operator cannot recover that key if the password is lost.

You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Your connections

You may only connect to systems you own or are explicitly permitted to access. You are responsible for the commands you run and the data you transfer, view or change through the service.

4. Acceptable use

Your use must follow the Acceptable Use policy. The Operator may suspend or remove accounts that breach it or put the service or other users at risk.

5. Public tunnels

A tunnel makes a service on a remote host reachable at a public address without a login. You are solely responsible for what you expose and for who receives the link. Stop the tunnel when it is no longer needed.

6. Availability

The service is provided as is. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Running sessions may end if the service restarts, and the Operator may change or withdraw features.

7. Data and backups

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of the data on your servers and databases. Features such as database restore, file deletion and remote editing act directly on those systems.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Operator and the authors of NextSSH are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profit arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes and contact

The Operator may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions go to the Operator of this installation.
